ABS has excellent mechanical properties, with outstanding impact strength and can be used at extremely low temperatures. ABS plastic has excellent wear resistance, good dimensional stability and oil resistance, and can be used for bearings under medium loads and low speeds. The creep resistance of ABS is greater than that of PSF and PC, but better than that of PA

ABS has good electrical insulation and is almost unaffected by temperature, humidity and frequency, making it suitable for use in most environments.

ABS plastic is not affected by water, inorganic salts, alkali and many acids, but it is soluble in ketones, aldehydes and chlorinated hydrocarbons. Stress cracking will occur when it is eroded by glacial acetic acid, vegetable oil, etc. ABS has poor weather resistance and is prone to degradation under the action of ultraviolet light. After half a year outdoors, the impact strength drops by half.
